Welcome to ServiceTasker. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and services in New Zealand. By using ServiceTasker, you agree to comply with these Terms. Please read them carefully before engaging with our platform.

1. Introduction

ServiceTasker is a digital marketplace that connects customers with verified tradespeople and service providers across New Zealand. We act as a facilitator and do not directly provide the services listed.

2. Eligibility

  • Users must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • Businesses and tradespeople must have valid registrations, licenses, or certifications (where required under NZ law).
  • ServiceTasker reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts if eligibility requirements are not met.

3. Account Registration

  • Users must provide accurate, up-to-date information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details.
  • ServiceTasker is not liable for losses arising from unauthorised account access.

4. Role of ServiceTasker

  • ServiceTasker provides a marketplace platform for customers and service providers.
  • We do not guarantee the quality, timing, or legality of services offered.
  • Any agreements for services are solely between the customer and the service provider.

5. Posting and Accepting Jobs

  • Customers may post jobs free of charge.
  • Tradespeople may view and purchase job leads using wallet funds or credits.
  • All job postings must comply with NZ laws and ServiceTasker’s content standards.

6. Payments, Wallet & Credits

  • Wallet funds can be added by service providers to purchase job leads.
  • Unused wallet funds may be refundable (excluding promotional credits).
  • Credits issued by ServiceTasker for promotions or disputes are non-refundable and subject to expiry.

7. Genuine Customer Guarantee

  • If a lead proves unresponsive despite reasonable follow-ups, service providers may request a review for credit reimbursement.
  • Claims are subject to verification by ServiceTasker.
  • Decisions on credit refunds are final.

8. User Responsibilities

  • Customers must provide accurate job details.
  • Service providers must deliver services with reasonable skill, care, and compliance with NZ laws.
  • Both parties must communicate respectfully and honestly.

9. Prohibited Activities

Users may not:

  • Post false or misleading job requests.
  • Misuse the platform for fraudulent or illegal purposes.
  • Attempt to bypass ServiceTasker systems or transfer leads outside the platform.

10. Reviews & Feedback

  • Customers may leave reviews about tradespeople after a job.
  • Reviews must be honest, fair, and free from offensive or defamatory content.
  • ServiceTasker may moderate or remove reviews that breach our guidelines.

11. Privacy & Data Use

  • Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
  • We may use anonymised data to improve our platform and services

12. Dispute Resolution

  • ServiceTasker is not a party to service agreements but may assist in resolving disputes.
  • Users are encouraged to resolve issues directly with each other.
  • Serious complaints may be escalated to the relevant NZ authorities.

13. Limitation of Liability

  • ServiceTasker is not responsible for losses, damages, or disputes arising from services performed by third-party providers.
  • Our liability is limited to the value of wallet funds held in your account at any time.

14. Suspension & Termination

  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.
  • Termination may result in the loss of wallet funds or credits.

15. Changes to Terms

  • ServiceTasker may update these Terms from time to time.
  • Continued use of the platform after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
